http://www.equality.ie/index.asp?locID=105&docID=624
By Brenda Gannon and Brian Nolan
This new research, published by the
Equality Authority and the National Disability Authority, establishes
the relationship between the experience of disability over time and its
impact in the areas of employment, income and social participation.
Using data from the Living in Ireland Surveys (1995-2001), it explores
for the first time how employment, earnings, household income and
social participation change as people acquire a disability, when people
cease to have a disability and for people who have a disability on an
ongoing basis over time.
