This report was undertaken as part of the Moving Ahead project, a research study that aimed to examine the role of factors that contribute to the successful transfer of residents with intellectual disabilities from congregated to community-based living arrangements in two regional areas in Ireland.

The Quality and Standards Sub Committee held a well attended workshop on the Role of the Persons-in-Charge on Thursday 9th October, 2014 in the Portlaoise Heritage Hotel. This event will included information from people who have already gone through the registration process, representatives from the Department and HIQA.
