This is an evaluation of phase 1 of a feasibility study on different resource allocation tools. 112 adults, across a range of disabilities, were assessed using each of the two tools RAS 5 (Developed by In Control, UK) and the Supports Intensity Scale, developed by the American Association of Directors of Developmental Disability. The process, the satisfaction of all participants, the timescale, and the cost were evaluated and compared. The results for individuals on the two tools were generally close, and reasons behind any outliers explored. Both tools placed individuals in roughly the same order, however, SIS gave more richness of information to guide other processes of support.
