Living Options for People with Intellectual Disability 2009

This year the National Federation has dedicated 2009 to the Research topic Living Options for People with Intellectual Disability. An Action Plan has been developed to pursue this goal.

March 2009

On March 9th, 2009, Brian McClean presented to the Research Sub Committee on Transitions to Socially Inclusive Living. 

June 2009 

On June 8th 2009, presentations were made to the Research Sub Committee by Mr. Christy Lynch, KARE on the Congregated Settings Project and Dr. Andrew Power, NUIG Galway on Modernisation of Disability Services.

  • The Inclusive Research Network is undertaking a National Survey through peer-to-peer interviews on "Where we Live".  More information is available under the Inclusive Research Network section of this website.

 

 

September 2009

On 21st September, 2009, a presentation was made to the Research Sub Committee by Breda Casey & Brian Donohoe from the National Federation's Community, Participation & Inclusion Sub Committee on "A True Home". 

October 2009
