September 2016 Training Programme – Managing for the Future: Building your Skills as a Front Line Manager in a Person Centred Environment
The National Federation of Voluntary Bodies has developed a comprehensive training programme for Front Line Managers in the intellectual disability sector. Seven successful cycles of the programme have been run to date in the University of Limerick with very positive feedback from programme participants. The programme is seen as being central in building the capacity of Front Line Managers to lead the development and implementation of excellent person centred services and supports. The Programme also assists organisations in meeting obligations outlined in the HIQA Regulations / Standards, particularly those related to the provision of accredited training for new managers of front-line staff and supervisory (theory and practice) training for managers.
