Background
The Services Development Sub-Committee was set up to lobby the Government and individual Government Departments as appropriate through inputting and responding to new policy.
Current Activities
The Sub-Committee has focused on particular issues over the past year:
- Services Development
- Development Funding
- Core Funding Deficits
- Value for Money Cuts
- Long Stay Residential Charges
In October 2004 the Sub-Committee developed the National Federation's Analysis of Need for Services and Supports for People with Intellectual Disability over the period 2005 - 2008. For Government and for service providers, both statutory and voluntary, it was an essential planning tool and gave a focus to the planning and development of services and supports in up to 2008.
