The Citizens Information Board operates a number of grant schemes to assist the provision of information, advice and advocacy by the voluntary and community sector. These schemes are outlined below. Please note, the following schemes are only available to organisations and groups in Ireland.
Regional Information and Advocacy Fund
This Fund operates within each of the Citizens Information Board's five regions. The purpose of the fund is to target marginalised groups, support the develoment of advocacy services, promote innovative information content and delivery mechanisms, and to create partnerships between the Board and other organisations. Publications Grants Scheme
The publications grants scheme supports voluntary organisations which have an information delivery role. The purpose of the scheme is to to meet specific publication needs, usually providing information on social services and entitlements. Translations are also funded. Small grants of up to euro 3,000 are available. Previous awards have been made to organisations to publish leaflets on entitlements or directories of specialist services. Social Policy Grants
The Social Policy Grant Scheme provides support for social policy initiatives being undertaken by Citizens Information Centres at local level, particularly those working in conjunction with statutory or voluntary organisations.
