The National Cancer Screening Service (NCSS), in conjunction with the National Federation Voluntary Bodies (NFVB), is running a further workshop on cancer screening and early detection 15th May 2014. The Workshops will focus on the national population-based cancer screening programmes in Ireland – BreastCheck, CervicalCheck, BowelScreen and Diabetic RetinaScreen. There is no fee for the workshop.

Aim of the Workshop:
The aim of the workshop is to equip facilitators with the knowledge and skills needed to be able to support informed choice in relation to cancer screening within their organisation and to provide accurate information about cancer screening services to people with an intellectual disability.

- Residential staff
- Staff with a role in training and education
- Staff working with Women’s groups and health programmes
- Other staff members whom the organisation determines are appropriate to nominate
